About
From Root-Bound
to Rooted Deep
I don’t like to write in my Bible.
I know—for some people, their pages are filled with underlines and highlights, circled verses and color-coded thoughts. And it’s beautiful. But it’s never worked for me.
For one, Bible pages are delicate. Thin. Too thin.
I’ve turned the page after jotting a note, only to find the other side unreadable.
And I ask a lot of questions. My thoughts don’t fit in a narrow column or a tiny margin. I need space—literal, physical space—to think deeply, pray honestly, and wrestle with the Word.
So I made my own.
I started creating layouts with double spacing, generous margins, and room to breathe. I gathered tools that helped rather than hindered—highlighters that didn’t bleed through, pens that didn’t smudge.
But more than tools, I found a rhythm.
Not of reading to check a box, but of pausing to know the Word. To meditate on it day and night. To turn it over in conversation, in prayer, in quiet moments.
Scripture never tells us to skim the Word—it tells us to plant it deep.
And planting takes time.
The deeper I dug into Scripture, the more I realized this approach wasn’t just for Bible study.
It was changing the way I journaled.
The way I processed life.
The way I prayed, observed, created.
Rooted Life Creations was born from that shift—
From being root-bound and constrained… to being deeply rooted in truth, creativity, and grace.
Welcome to the journey.
